Project Details
- The objective of building an industrial wood pellets plant in this strategic region is that the municipality of São Borja is in the center of Mercosur, bordering Argentina. And it is next to a LARGE FOREST POLE that already exists on the Argentine side, which is in the Province of Corrientes, currently with more than 350,000 ha of planted forests (80% of the Pinus Illiontis and Thaeda variety and 20% Eucalyptus). And on the Brazilian side, we now have more than 20,000 hectares of planted forests. And one of the goals is to boost forest growth in the western border of the state of Rio Grande do Sul / Brazil. This project has the support of the governments of Brazil and Argentina, since one of the main objectives is to strengthen Mercosur through the development of the bordering regions, generating socio-economic growth for the state of Rio Grande do Sul/Brazil and the Province of Corrientes/Argentina. So, we have a great abundance of raw material. Below shows the forest map of the province of Corrientes/Argentina, right next to the border, bordering the municipality of São Borja / RS.
